The Study on the Nurse¢¥s Perception About Spiritual Care Need of Patients and Spiritual Nursing Intervention


Abstract
This study is for exploration of nurse¢¥s perception about spiritual cave need of patients, the level of spiritual nursing intervention.
Data was obtained from 162 nurses in p General Hospital, by use of the percentile, Mean, T-test, ANOVA.
The results were as follows:
1. Concernig nurse¢¥s perception about spiritual care need of patients, the item of ¢¥Listeia to patient¢¥. ¢¥Be comforting & Encouraging¢¥ was revealed to be high. (91.4%)
2. Between nurses who had been educated and studied Bible about spiritual care was significantly related to nurse¢¥s perception about spiritual care need. (t=2.85, p<0.1, t=3.12 p<0.5)
3. Concerning the levels of spiritual nursing intervention, the item of `sincere nursing intervention¢¥ showed the most response. (Mean 4.05)
4. Nurses who had been educated and discussed about spiritual care was significantly related to spiritual nursing intervention. (t= 3.34 p<0.1, t = 1.86 p<0.5)
5. Nursea who felt that ¢¥religion affected. Their lives recognized more of the frequency of spiritual need of patients, and gave more spiritual care to patients. (F=2,71, p<0.1) 6. Concerning the spiritual nursing difficulty, "too busy" (67.3%) was the most common problem.
